The Junior League of Sarasota is an organization of women committed to advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact.
Our members gain hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, project planning, fundraising, event planning, communications, advocacy, board service, and community engagement. These skills support our members in the League, in their careers, and throughout the broader Sarasota community.
Whether you are new to Sarasota, growing your career, raising a family, building a business, entering a new season of life, or looking for a deeper way to get involved, there is a place for you here.
For nearly 70 years, the Junior League of Sarasota has helped strengthen Sarasota County through trained volunteers, community partnerships, fundraising, advocacy, and hands-on service.
Our work is rooted in the belief that local action can create lasting change. Through community projects, grants, volunteer service, and partnerships, JLS members support meaningful efforts that benefit women, children, families, and the broader Sarasota County community.
A Community of Women Leaders
JLS membership offers more than volunteer opportunities. It is a place to build friendships, develop confidence, grow as a leader, and connect with women who care about making a difference.
New Members participate in a one-year experience designed to help them learn, connect, and begin making an impact through education, mentorship, committee involvement, service, and social opportunities.
