Done in a Day (DIAD) Volunteer Projects

Short-term projects. Immediate impact.

Through Done in a Day (DIAD), JLS volunteers support nonprofits in completing meaningful, hands-on projects that create visible results in just a few hours—helping organizations maximize capacity without adding strain to their teams.

Project Scope

• Volunteer-led projects completed in a single day (or during a meeting)
• 4+ volunteers supporting hands-on work
• Up to $1,000 available for project supplies
• Designed for immediate, tangible community benefit

Community Grants for Sarasota Nonprofits

Investing in programs that create lasting change.

Each year, JLS provides grant funding to nonprofits delivering programs with measurable impact for children, families, and individuals across Sarasota County.

To date, we’ve invested nearly $400,000 in local nonprofits through JLS Grants — supporting programs that expand access, strengthen families, and improve long-term outcomes.

Funding Focus

• Grants up to $10,000 supporting program-based work
• Priority given to initiatives serving children, women, families, and transitional youth
• Emphasis on measurable outcomes and meaningful community impact
