Transfer to the Junior League of Sarasota
Moving to Sarasota or returning to the area? We’d love to welcome you.
If you are an Active, Provisional/New Member, or Sustaining member of another Junior League, the Junior League of Sarasota can help you transfer your membership and get connected.
Whether you are new to town, returning to Sarasota, or looking to reconnect with League life, we are happy to help make your transition as smooth as possible.
How do I transfer my Junior League membership to Sarasota?
To begin the transfer process, contact your current League and ask them to initiate your transfer to the Junior League of Sarasota through AJLI’s e-Transfer system.
Please be prepared to provide your current League with:
- Your name
- Local address
- Phone number
- Email address
- AJLI number, if available
- Current membership status: Active, Provisional/New Member, or Sustainer
Once your transfer is received, a member of the Junior League of Sarasota will contact you with next steps.
What happens after my transfer is received?
After the Junior League of Sarasota receives your transfer, we will help you understand current membership expectations, upcoming opportunities, and ways to get involved.
Our goal is to help you feel welcomed, informed, and connected as you settle into JLS and the Sarasota community.
Can I reinstate my Junior League of Sarasota membership?
Were you previously a member of the Junior League of Sarasota and interested in reinstating your membership?
We would be happy to help you explore your options and reconnect with the League.
What are the membership expectations for transfers?
Active Members participate in the work of the League through committee service, volunteer opportunities, General Membership Meetings, trainings, annual dues, and support of League programs and fundraisers.
Sustaining Members remain connected to the League through continued support, fellowship, service, mentorship, and opportunities to engage with JLS impact and events.
Is dues assistance available?
Financial assistance may be available for eligible members.
