The Junior League of Sarasota is proud to host its 23rd Annual Legacy Luncheon with Caldwell Trust Company as our Diamond Title Sponsor. We also welcome Diamond Bay Jewelers which is donating a luxurious pendant valued at over $5,000 for a drawing.

Join us at our NEW location:  the spacious and elegant ballroom at The Ora. Guests enjoy an hour-long champagne reception prior to a delicious lunch prepared by Michael’s On East. Sponsors have access to a VIP reception with our guest speaker, Dr. India White. 

Dr. White is an award-winning educator, national consultant, author and mother who has turned adversity into success, after being homeless as a teenager. A Sarasota native, Dr. White will share her inspiring journey of triumph over tragedy, and is thrilled to return to the hometown which embraced her and helped her succeed.  Her message of hope has helped others navigate challenges and achieve success. 

Since 2003, Legacy Luncheon has served as the signature fundraiser for the Junior League of Sarasota Endowment Fund, making it possible for the league to support local nonprofits through numerous community grants and service projects.  In addition, half of this year’s net proceeds will support our Legacy Project: Furnishing Hope at Nancy’s Village. Nancy’s Village is named in honor of the late Senator and Sarasota County Commissioner Nancy Detert who fought for the rights of Florida children in foster care. Our League will provide all of the interior furnishings in five new transitional homes which will house a total of 20 young adults who have aged out of foster care. Currently under construction, Nancy’s Village is targeted to be completed in 2027 as the Junior League enters its 70th Anniversary year.  CLICK HERE for more information about this important project.
